Program Details
Goals of the course : To increase awareness of the features in standard spoken language by providing the necessary knowledge and practice so as to improve pronunciation of standard spoken English and enhance personal effectiveness.
Learning Outcomes:
- To be aware of the non-standard forms of Spoken English
- To understand the importance of comprehensibility and intelligibility of speech
- To master an essential, basic knowledge of the phonology of English
- To be equipped with strategies to speak effectively in different social context; eg conversations and in public presentations
- To speak clearly in day-to-day life
Sessions: 10 sessions
Duration: 1.5 hours per session
